Terms and Conditions

I look forward to reading your comments and opinions. If you comment I require you to have an opinion of your own. Just saying “I disagree” doesn’t get the job done. Why do you disagree? In order for me to learn the error of my ways or in order to teach you the error of yours I need to know why you disagree. What do you know that I don’t? How will you put me on the path to righteousness?

I also ask that you keep a civil tongue. When I speak, I speak only for myself. I’m not trying to speak for you. So, don’t take any undo offense to my ramblings. To paraphrase a movie character, “I will not be called names. I will not be demeaned or ridiculed. I won’t be chastised for my opinion. I don’t do these things to others, and I require the same from you”[1].

We can have an adult conversation. DO NOT take as an example of adult conversations our governmental representatives. They are rife with junior high schoolyard spats. We are not them.

[1] John Wayne as J.B. Books from the 1976 movie The Shootist, “I won’t be wronged. I won’t be insulted. I won’t be laid a-hand on. I don’t do these things to other people, and I require the same from them”.
